What an event. Thirty four members pitched for this event. We had 11 Audi's, 3 Opels and 1 Golf. This is by far our biggest event to date. These events are getting better and better as the Club gets more exposure through the passionate club members, and passionate they are ....

As per norm we met at the Pavilion at 08:30, with the usual KZN greetings, latest stories were exchanged and new faces welcomed ...... we look forward at seeing u at our next event.

A driver and CO-driver briefing was held. Speed Cop set Ved and CO off first in a fully loaded A4T at 09:15 sharp with a 2 minute departure gap between each vehicle. Nivash in a A3T was the last vehicle to leave at 09:41.

By this stage the Pavilion was getting busy and it took longer to get out of the parking lot and hitting the road to somewhere.

The "route sheet" had cryptic clues. Some questions were easy whilst others were a little "tricky" Some of the members got lost whilst others, like Albert "flew" through the course, but getting some answers wrong.

The idea was to get all the questions correct in the shortest time.

Boys will be boys and race we must ...

Albert and Tanya in the Golf scored 22 /27 @ 1 hour 15 min.

This being the fastest time.

Speed Cop did a "dry run" on Saturday morning and it took 1 hour 30 minutes without stopping to look for clues but keeping within the speed limit.

So this just proves how the poor Golf was "molested".

......After the last car had left, Speed Cop had to "fly" to the finish to record the arrival times of the members and he just managed to get to the finish before Albert in a Golf came flying in.

It was close but no cigar.

The total distance of the mystery run between Westville and Howick was 113.2 kilometers give or take a few "meters" provided u did not get "lost" unless u enjoy driving your Audi and "purposely" missed the turnoff like Ruben, but then who can blame him driving the "Red Model" or was it to spend extra time with his CO-driver, the truth we will never know ......

From the feedback we got, this event was a huge success and the next "mystery" run will be even better, now that we have had experience with the setting up and finding all the "mistakes".

I am running out of ideas to keep the KZN Chapter amused :)

This event was enjoyed tremendously as a family event where by every member in the car contributed to the success of the "driver"

"Driver" u better take your helpers to supper !

Our next event is a "breakfast" run up the north coast on the 23rd October 2005. More details to follow via e-mail --- Pencil in the date now ....

Thanks Sonni, Leigh-Ann and to your staff it was great and to the Audi Club SA - KZN Chapter ----

Thank you for a wonderful event, take care and be safe !!!

The next car was an Opel of Kevin and Chantelle with a score of 22 /27 @ 1 Hour 16 minutes.

The first Audi to arrive was Manie in his Silver S3

The first Audi home with a perfect score of 27/27 was an A3 3.2 DSG driven by Richard @ 1 hour 20 minutes earning him first prize, a years membership to the Audi Club SA..

The second prize went to Ved with a score of 26/27 @ 1 hour 53 minutes earning him an Audi S-line cap, donated by the Audi Centre Durban - Once again thanks to Mark......

Once again the Fernhill Hotel in Tweedie was used for our Venue and Sonni and his very competent staff exceeded all expectations. The Food was superb, parking for our "babies" secured and everything was just "perfect"

Twice in a row !!!!! WOW
