Terms and Conditions for use of the ACSA discussion forum
The Audi Club of South Africa (ACSA) discussion forum is intended for participants to share their views and experiences regarding this great brand of cars with others. Access to this forum is free and open to all who are interested in the discussions on the forum. The following terms and conditions shall apply to all participants to the forum, regardless of them having read these terms and conditions or not; the onus resides with each participant to read and understand the following terms and conditions. By posting on the forum, all participants agree to abide by the rules as set by the ACSA.
1. Rules
In order to ensure the forum remains a place where all Audi enthusiasts will feel welcome, a few rules have to be adhered to by all participants:
1.1. Offensive and inappropriate references to racism, sexism, sexual orientation, religion or other forms of discrimination or hate speech will not be tolerated. The forum is open to all Audi enthusiasts and some of them may differ from you concerning such matters, therefore please keep these discussions off the forum.
1.2. Sometimes a particular topic can result in heated debates where the participants get very excited as each tries to argue his or her point. Personal insults and offensive language is not permissible on the forum.
1.3. Defamation of individuals and businesses is not permitted. If you feel that a particular product or business is poor, particularly if you have firsthand experience of it, then please do let us all know about it so as to possibly save others some time and/or money. However, refrain from making unsubstantiated claims of the kind that can get yourself or the ACSA into trouble or even into court.
1.4. The forum is for Audi enthusiasts, to discuss matters related to Audi vehicles and their ownership. You should therefore not be surprised if your attempts to convert participants to whatever other brand of vehicle you prefer are met without much enthusiasm. There are many forums on the Internet where your praise of vehicle manufacturer X, Y or Z will be welcome; this forum is not one of them.
1.5. Discussions that have been moderated (edited or deleted) by the ACSA should be considered unacceptable and may not be reposted or perpetuated in any form whatsoever. The poster of any moderated post will be informed – as far as is feasible and preferably by email – as to the reasons for moderation.
1.6. Any disputes that arise regarding the terms and conditions or the use of the forum must be referred to, and will be decided on by, the Committee of the ACSA.
2. Reservation of Rights
As the sole owner of the forum, the ACSA reserves all its rights to the forum. These rights include, but are not limited to, the following:
2.1. Moderation (i.e. editing or deleting) of individual posts or entire threads of discussion posted by forum participants. This may be done by any one of the forum moderators, as a result of content not conforming to the above rules, or for any other reason the committee may consider sufficient.
2.2. Limiting access to read or post discussions on the forum only to individuals who the ACSA considers as participating in the intended spirit of the forum and for the benefit of the majority of the participants to the forum. Any participant who fails to abide by the rules of the forum - as determined by the Committee of the ACSA - may have his or her access to the forum suspended or permanently revoked.
2.3. By posting on the forum, participants agree to donate all rights to the content of their posts to the ACSA. In particular, all participants agree to allow the ACSA to freely edit, delete, store or distribute any post in part or in whole, in any form whatsoever.
I have read and agree to all of the above - take me to the forum!
